San Pasqual Academy’s graduating class continues to grow every year. In June 2002, three Academy seniors walked across the Assembly Hall stage to receive their high school diploma. In June 2013, 27 graduates received their high school diploma before a full house in the Academy gymnasium. Academy graduates pursue many different avenues following graduation. Many decided to continue their education at four-year universities both in California and out-of-state, as well as at local community colleges. Others have ventured into the world of work and are maintaining jobs in the community. A few have enlisted in the military to serve our country.
Support for Academy graduates is readily available from any of the campus partners. Alumni are encouraged to maintain contact with the campus partners for up-to-date campus activities and referrals to community resources, as needed. One significant source of support has been the Alumni Housing Program, which provides temporary housing to alumni making progress towards their goals.
Alumni Housing Program
The Academy’s Alumni Housing Program offers temporary housing to former Academy youth who are making progress towards their educational and employment goals. The program allows graduates who are attending college to return to campus during the holidays and school breaks. For many, the Academy is “home.” It is an opportunity for the youth to return to a supportive community that embraces them and where there are individuals they have come to know and trust as family over the years.
